PSI moisture meter (MMETER2)

I bought this moisture meter from Harbor Freight within the last year. I had problems from the start. The battery went dead in less than a month. I had problems getting steady reading. I got different readings on the same board in the same place often. Today I took it out of the case, put in a new battery and it would not turn on at all. I don't know if Harbor freight bought a bunch of seconds from PSI or not but I cannot say I am satisfied with the product and would not recommend it. D.D. Minnesota

Moisture Meter

This is a nice great tool to have. A no brainer to use and priced right. I should have purchased this a long time ago and would have had better results with my projects.

Meter does the job

I am a one man wood turning company that uses urban green wood. It has always been a big guessing game as to when the wood is cured. I never wanted to spend the amount required for the expensive meters so I just decided by weight and feel. This Penn State meter really seems to work as advertised. The pins are mounted in a heavy poly base and look to be able to last for awhile. The reading I get are right in the same numbers as a borrowed expensive model. A neat zipper carrying pouch is included and a battery too. What more could you expect for this price? A great investment for anyone using uncured wood.

Good Moisture meter

The meter is easy to use, seems to be reasonably accurate. It can be difficult to push the pins in very far. I am pleased with the meter.

The PSI moisture meter is well priced, easy to use and displays accurate readings of the moisture content of the wood in my shop. I used it on kiln dried wood and some logs I had stored outside. As I made cuts across the end, each reading went up until I quit trying. Excellent product, Thank you.

PSI Digital Readout Moisture Meter

The PSI Digital Moisture meter is extremely easy to understand and to use. I tested it with known dry wood as well as extremely wet wood and saw the accuracy of the moisture. I think that it is very functional to work with and makes wood turning more efficient in that you do not have waste since you know before hand if the wood is ready to be turned into a work of art. The one think that I found that is not functional is the "HOLD" button. I do not know what the purpose is for this. I believe that it is priced correctly based on quality and functionality of the product.
