Benjamin's Best High Speed Steel 3/4" x 1/4" Convex Parting Tool with Diamond cross section - 16"Long. This convex design has a sharper point for faster and easier parting. It provides less binding and easier tool removal from your work. The benefit of the diamond cross-section is that the friction is significantly reduced, making for both easier control and reduced heat build-up. This is important when parting Hardwoods which can crack if overheated.

Another good tool from Penn State at a Good price. I feel like I can reshape and sharpen to my design, nice to have a good tool and not have to invest a fortune in the process.

I haven't been able to get it to cut to the center of a piece. When the diameter gets down to about 1 inch, it won't cut. maybe my tool rest height is wrong. i'm a beginner. The other PSI turning tools I bought are great.
