1/2The tool is solid, sharpened well, holds its edge and is easy to use.

A nice chiselI just purchased the 1/2" rounded skew to turn 22 spindles for a cradle. I really liked the quality of the tool and the ease with which it allowed me to turn the coves and beads on the spindles. I haven't quite perfected how to sharpen the rounded profile yet so I just reground it straight. It still cut well and I am satisfied with how it performed.

Rounded Skew ChiselThis is an easy tool to use

Rounded skewAlmost inpossible to catch. It is very easy to use

great toolI totally agree with the above review that this is a great tool. It’s very easy to use, gives a very smooth finish and holds an edge nicely. After using it I am ordering the set of the 1/2" and 7/8” inch to go with it. I used mine on a few pen kits and some spindle type stuff. Another nice thing I found is you can use it in "unconventional" ways and get great detail accents. Yet another great PSI tool at a great price.

An outstanding productI began my initiation in pen turning about two months ago with a TurnCrafter VS lathe and a starter kit from you. In 50 years of woodworking, I had never seen a hand-turned pen, had never encountered a pen turner, and had never been within 15 miles of a lathe...and did not have a clue. To my surprise however, my first slimline pen was a "qualified" success, largely due to your literature and Benjamin's Best 3-piece tool set. Unfortunately, like most newcomers I suppose, I was having a little difficulty trying to get the feel of the skew included in the set, until one day your 1/4" Rounded Skew caught my eye and seemed like a possible alternative to the flat skew. Man, what a revelation. I would recommend to every beginner that his or her first purchase, after the lathe and starter kit, be your rounded skew. It turned my steep learning curve into a little bump in the road. An outstanding product.
