It stinksLittle to non functional. No directions and not intuitive. Save your money.

Don't bother. Not functional, most tools will need a sharp (acute) angle that will require the jig to be attached above the table level your grinder is on. This decreases your flexibility with your grinder. Also, angles don't match up with the sliding guide. Spend more, buy the Precision Sharpening system, Item #: LCGRIND4. Easy to use, consistent from the beginning.

Takes time to set-upThis tool rest takes quite alot of time to mount in front of your grinder. Very little instrutions are included to aid in set-up. Works good for longer blade lathe tools but is too wide of a base for blades shorter than about 4 inches because you cannot hold the angle and reach the gringing wheel.

sharpening jigThere wasn't any directions as to the use of your sharpening jig.

DOES NOT WORK WITH PSI MIDI TOOLSI have the PSI Midi Lathe Tool set LCA6M and the tools are to short to properly use this sharpener. The length of the metal portion needs to be an inch or two longer at minimum to use this jig. As others have mentioned it does not come with instructions. Unfortunately I have to now pay return shipping, I wish the product specifications had provided this info.

Good Basic JigThis is a good sharpening jig. The price is right and it works. It is easy to use, but takes a bit of work to setup. I have a 6" grinder and found that I needed to mount the sharpening jig on a 1/2" board to get the angles to match the indicator. This unit did not come with any instructions, so the user is on their own to figure out how to install and use it.

Sharpening jigItem works on standard grinds or gouges

Sharpening JigYou know, this was the third and final Sharpening Jig I have purchased. It works well. The one from Shop Smith was worthless. Like they say, The day you turn with a sharp chisel will be the best day turning you ever have.
