I purchased a Long Ranger system for my new Tempest Cyclone dust collector (see separate reviews for both). For the most part, I used new blast gates that are prewired with the switches as part of the system, and they worked fine. But I had a couple of metal blast gates from my old system, and decided that rather than replace them, I would just add switches to them. The switches are the same ones that are pre-mounted on the blast gates that come with the system, so from that standpoint they work fine. But where the switches that come with the blast gates come with pigtails to wire into the system, these switches don't. They also don't come with any clips that you could crimp onto the wires then attach to the terminals on the switches. As a result, I ended up having to cut short lengths of low voltage wire and solder them to the switch terminals so that I could then connect them to the wires from the system. Perhaps most irritating is that they don't even come with screws! I had to go out and track down some tiny sheet metal screws that I could use to attach the switches to the blast gates. Now that I'm all done, the switches work fine (and the entire Long Ranger system is excellent), but the switches should come with wires or at least some crimp fittings, and they definitely should come with screws!
