Hefty Tool

I found this tool to very hefty and was great at cleaning the bottom of my turned hollow vessel with no chatter. It is also perfect for cutting in small details on spindles.

Good tool gives an decent edge not as easy to use as a Round nose scrapper.

This is a truly amazing tool. I decided to give this tool a try and the results amazed me. I have used it on spindle work, as a gouge and a skew with great results. Furthermore I have used it to rough core a bowl and finish the interior (I use laminated exotic woods that are very dense and have grain in several directions ) and it works very well not quite as fast as my carbide coring tools for the rough but close and way less $$. One other thing is it is very easy to sharpen with a stone or wheel. I use a diamond stone and the edge holding on this tool is very good; In fact superior to many other tools that cost 3x as much. I highly recommend getting the whole set.
