multiple use

These chisels are smooth cutting and hold an edge very well. The profile of the handles is very good though they are a little short for my liking. For a beginner this would be a great set to start with as many basic functions can be achieved with few chisels. Definitely better than most Chinese tools.

sharpening

While the tool works well new, other reviews and the experience of an employee at penn state industries who has one tell me that, inspite of information in the catalogue, one does eventually have to grind the bevel to sharpen it. I have a theory those who say this are just not willing to grind the back enough to get the edge back. We'll see.

So easy to use!

Using these chisels is an absolute dream. I turned my very first pen with these chisels and it turned out really well. For a literal beginner I couldn't ask for a better set of chisels. Was really surprised with the smoothness of the blank after turning it. It made sanding that much quicker.

These chisels are the first I have ever bought that were really sharp right out of the box. I really like them but you have to be careful with them and get used to them .

Versa chisels provide speed and confidence

We're new woodturners and, like many, found mastering the skew chisel a slow process. The versa chisels helped us make pens and bottlestoppers quickly and they look great. The tools were easy to handle and stay sharp.

These chisels are easy to control. They work best for me as scrapers, and they sharpen up quickly and easily on my Tormek.

Sharp with clean cut

These chisels give a very sharp and clean cut on all of the woods I've used them on. Highly recommended !
