I love this tool. I work with kiln dried black walnut and make very small goblets. This tool comes in handy with the decrations on the goblet and with cutting it off. I use this for a cut off tool and a tool to mark depth and to make tenons. I highly recomend this tool. stays sharp for long periods of time and when it needs to be sharpened it is fast to sharpen. One of the nicest things is when cutting bigger things off the lathe is this tool does not get as hot as regular cut-off tools. Because it is thin it also cools fast. I have used it on bowls to cut off the lathe and it is very fast, clean, and easy.

Handy and works well. Could use a small parting tool to do the same thing. A little high priced for what it is.

new turner

Instructions should be included with this tool. I bought it and don't want to waste material trying to figure out the proper way to use this tool. This may be the greatest thing since sliced bread but, I don't know how to use it.

Excellent tool, do not buy a $30 one. This does exactly what it was designed for.

The Thin Man!

I have two other parting tools but this one is nice and thin, perfect for pen work. You can't take off too much in one pass. Glad I have it priced right

Thin blade parting tool

I use this tool as a parting tool. It minimizes the wood wasted in parting off a workpiece. It is a good solid tool and a good value for the money.

Parting Tool

I am just learning to use this tool. I am using it to part small parts off my lathe. It take a delicate touch that I have not mastered yet. It is more efficient than the standard parting tool.
