Bowl Scraper Relief

I am just a novice at bowl turning. I just could not get into the corner to make a nice gentle curve. With these Bowl Scrapers it made the job much easier.

Well, shiver my timbers!

These are the scrapers every bowl turner should own. Very heavy duty with handles satisfactory for their weight and thicknesses. I've had a few other Benjamin's Best tools before and haven't been disappointed yet. Well made and the HSS holds a good edge. If you decide you want a couple scrapers for the inside of your bowls, I think you would be happy with this set.

Don't be skeered!

Great buy! I love the way they handle. You'll need to sharpen them, and relieve the edges on the bottom so they wouldn't nick the toolrest, but you should be well pleased with them. They hold an edge better than the other HSS scraper that I recently wore out. Well worth the price I paid!!

Like everything other lathe item I have bought from Penn State I don't think you can do better for quality and price.

HSS Inboard Bowl Scrapper Set

These 2 scrappers have really made it much easier to scrap out the bottoms of smaller bowls. They're well balanced and like all PSI products, fairly priced. It's allowed me to turn around product quicker and do a much better job of hollowing out the bottom section of bowls and be able to make deeper bowls. I've got my moneys' worth already. If you do not own a set you should!

Benjamins' Best

After having used the tools, both are of very good quality. They do not chatter because of the thickness. They hold their edge very well. They are well balanced tools. I had looked at oher items like these two in other stores and they were much higher.

Scraper set

I have tried them both and once I got used to how they work and honed them to my liking, they work great. If used properly they easily remove quantities of wood in making a bowl.

Blade Thickness is wrong.

The 6" x 1" wide and 3/8" blade is really 6" x 1" wide and 5/16" thick blade. The 6"long x 3/4" wide and 5/16" thick blade is really 6"long x 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick blade. E-mail me if you want to see visual evidence.

Great turning tools

This set of bowl scrapers is absolutely great. The good hardened steel keeps a sharp edge and cuts with ease.
