Excellent Spindle Gouge!

Like most woodturners, I've got far too many turning tools, including spindle gouges. But I couldn't resist the price or trying out PSI's spindle gouge for pen turners. I've now turned several dozen bottle stoppers and a similar number of birdhouse ornaments. It has held its edge and performed as well or better as tools costing three times as much. Handle length allows close-in turning and I'm delighted with my purchase: I don't see how you could buy a better short gouge for the money. I rate it tops!

The Benjamin's Best Spindle Gouge has made pen making easy and much faster. The gouge holds a sharp edge and is very versitile. It has cut time of turning by at least 1/3, and because of its ease of handling, I have less sanding and finishing to do. I have been using it on all my turnings. For the money it is the best gouge that I own!

I do like the spindle gouge and it is a very good price. I wish it had a longer handle so it was more comfortable to use.

A great addition to any set of chisels. Enhances the finishing step by adding a nice smooth area for stain and/or other finishes. Suggest the edge be checked regularly to maintain sharpness. All in all, a really nice tool to own.
