Large, aggressive prongs give excellent "bite" through thin bark on natural edged pieces. Aggressive turning of soft woods such as aspen is easier, without driving the center as deep as with smaller centers.

This is an excellent addition to my turning tools. When turning between centers it holds the piece without allowing it to spin in the head stock. It is especially good for larger items.
