Use this foot switch to turn on and off your Lathe Hands Free

Simply plug your lathe's power cord into the pedal, plug the pedal into the wall and turn your lathe's power switch to the on position. Just step on and off the pedal to turn your lathe on and off. Spring loaded for safety (lathe is on in the down position) 15amps, 8ft power cord.

Nice switch, great price. Easy to use and connect to machines. Makes it easy to turn equipment on and off without having to change position of hands or tools. Great customer service and quick delivery with updates as to the whereabouts of the order. Thanks Penn State!

Foot Switch for wood lathe

Even though buried beneath a mound of chips and dust from the bowls I make with my wood lathe, the foot switch works flawlessly. However, I will encase the switch in a plastic bag as you suggest to minimize dust accumulation within the switch casing.

This is a great addition to my lathe. No need to put down a tool and free a hand to operate the power switch on the machine. It's much like the gas pedal on a car. The lathe goes while you step on it and quits when you remove your foot. It might be better if it operated as a toggle switch rather than just on/off.

When I bought this switch I thought I was buying a variable speed foot switch. As it turned out it worked great on a variable speed drill. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
