This extender can be used on Forsner bits with 3/8" shanks to extend their useful length by 3". Over length is 5" long, locks onto the bit shaft with twin locking set screws to hold your bit straight and true. Can piggyback to extend to longer lengths if necessary.

Just what I needed.

Very Useful for Deep Drilling

I received one of these yesterday to use when making pepper mills. Works great. It is a must have to drill deep holes with your Forstner bits. No way to drill 9" or 10" without it. It's well made has four set screws and grabs your bit with no slipping. Concentricity is good. It has a 3/8" shaft hole, 5/8" OD x 4" long body plus a 3/8" x 1 5/32" tang. I am thinking that it also may be perfect for making your own hollowing tools with 3/8" HSS rod blanks and adding a handle. (ordered Sunday--received Thurs--great service!)
