transfer toolStrongly recommend this tool be removed from your product line. Everything I have purchased from PSI has performed exactly as represented. This tool is the exception. Tried many types of transfer paper and techniques. This tool does not perform.

This thing is really koolI got the transfer tool to try to imprint on pens and pencils. If you follow the directions/instructions and use 24lb paper and a laser printer, it works really well. Takes some practice, not every font is going to do well. Make sure when you use your software you turn on the "bold" so you get heavier toner on the paper. When using the tool, give it time to heat back up after each pass. I rubbed some 1000 grit paper over the head to make it more smooth. Now I can personalize pens for my customers.

finish is a problemIf you imprint on top of your wood finish, it's likely to burn the finish. If you imprint on bare wood, then try to use friction polish or woodturner's finish, it will remove the design. I haven't tried it, but maybe spray or dip finish would work. Any other ideas?

Instructions are deceivingThis product works and works quite well after a bit of tinkering. Despite what the instructions tell you it only marginally works when the transfer has been printed by a photocopier because most photocopiers copy at a VERY high temerature and this tool will not get hot enough to turn the toner back liquid enough to completely transfer. When the transfer is printed by a laser printer or a fax machine the transfer works quite well. Quite by accident I discovered that if you dampen the paper before trying to transfer it works even better. Under these conditions the transfer tool works great on black and white. I can't comment on color transfers as i haven't had a chance to try color yet. Should that change I will add to this review.

Does not workI followed the directions even bought transparencies and 24lb paper. This product does not do what it says. It will just burn your surface without putting your image on it

Transfer tooldid not work as well as I thought it should. I seeked out a new way to add letters to my key rings.
