I got this diamond hone about a year ago because of the outstanding price. After 3 months, using it just on one side, I started getting bare spots. Now it's that way on both side. I can just barely improve an edge at this point. Perhaps I haven't used it correctly, but I saw Alan Lacer demonstrate in person. The durability is too poor to recommend this hone, even at this price.
