Good InvestmentI picked up a Jet DC-650A (the one with the 30-micron bag) on Craigslist. This canister turned that dust collector from a health hazard into a real asset in the shop! I had no problems with the instructions, but I am using a Jet 'snap ring' to hold the trash bag in place instead of the metal bands that came with the canister. I could only be happier if PSI had included a winning lottery ticket in the package!

Good but not perfectI would have given it 5 stars but there were a few things wrong. The instructions were incomplete and the steps for assembly were not in the correct order. One of the flappers was ripped, although it still worked. Once assembled it works as advertised and is a good tool.

1 Micron 1hp Dust Collector Canister FilterI have been waiting a long time for you guys to get this filter in for the smaller dust collector. It was worth the wait. Took about an hour to set up. Directions could have been clearer. But in the end it works great. The filter stays clean buy just turning the handle. Highly recommended.

Thank you - this thing really sucks...About three years ago, I purchased a small (1hp), off brand dust collector. It was cheap, and proved to be barely adequate for my needs, but it was better than nothing and helped keep my garage shop a lot cleaner and mostly free of dust. Because the collector was a little underpowered, I was pretty scrupulous about keeping the bags clean and used a tornado lid on a 30 gallon trash can to collect the big stuff. It all helped, but the collector still seemed like it just wasn't up to the job. When I put the 1 micron canister on the collector - a simple job that took about half an hour from assembly to installation, the power seemed to double. It was an incredible difference. The same piece of equipment was now more than adequate - even removing green shavings when rough turning on my lathe. I thought that maybe I should just chalk it up to new filters, but it has been over a month - with very hard use for my home shop - and the collector still chugs along. It makes quick work of cleaning up after a session of turning, and doesn't care if I'm turning greenwood or dry. That's a chore that taxes the best collectors. When power sanding, it even pulls in the sanding dust that escaped from the collector before. Thank you - this thing really sucks. My shop is cleaner, and I'm sure my lungs are cleaner. I'd highly recommend this canister filter to anyone with a collection system. There is one problem, though. I was looking forward to getting a new collector, but for now, at about 1/3 the price of a new collector, this one is doing much, much better. Thanks again for a great product. Jeff Smith

Boosted PowerI am writing you to say how impressed and happy I am with this purchase. I cannot believe how much more power I am getting from this. This is one of the best upgrades that I have done for my dust problem in the shop. Thanks for all your help.
