Great dust collector for the money. I'm a small-time, [one-man show], woodworker living in mid-coast Maine, and for months have looked for a reasonably priced 1.5 horse [something that runs off 110] dust collector with a canister filter. They are hard to find. Well...look no further, the "Dustroyer" is your machine. Quiet and plenty of suction. Also, super reasonable and quick shipping. Thanks to Bill Whitaker and the rest of the folks at Penn State Industries. Very impressed with this smaller company. Kelly, Hope, Maine

I have another PSI dust collector that I use on a wood lathe in my basement. I "borrowed" it from my son and it was already set up. I wanted one for my bigger workshop and bought a new one. I expect it to work as well or better than the old one. My big complaint is the way the instructions are written. I would think that with all the complaints on the instructions PSI would straighten it out. Be prepared to get a little frustrated with the assembly process. The parts did line up well and once assembled you have a great machine!

Overall I would have to recommend this dust collector to anyone that is looking for a easy to move, powerful sucker. The overall quality of the machine is sub-par though and the directions are horrendous. As a company Penn State did a fantastic job with shipping and making sure I was a happy customer. The canister was on back order so they sent me the two bag 1-micron set as a temporary measure until the canisters were shipped (only a week later!). The machine itself had some cosmetic issues which I hope do not turn out to be bigger issues down the road. Some of the red paint easily chipped off the edges of the metal dolly that the machine sits on and the overall rigidity of the cyclone-esque collector is not too great. As for the canister, it seems well built enough to do the job, but once again the directions were horrible and I ended up putting the handle on (the one to clear the dust inside the canister) upside-down and now it refuses to come off. But on the plus side.... it seems that the system is very powerful, quiet and overall does a fantastic job filtering the fine dust that is in the shop. Definitely not an Oneida, but for under $300, it will do.

Have wanted a dust collection system for a long time and this machine is worth the wait. Handles my planer and table saw ...no problem and no dust. The negatives are the assembly instructions are really poor, steps left out and vague...some parts shortages. If you know how to assemble things this is minor and the parts dept. took care of the shortages quickly

This unit has enough power to really do the job. In addition to the great power it is surprisingly quiet. It would be helpful to have a handle to grab onto when moving the unit around.

This unit functions as described. The vacuum power is great and the noise level is not bad. My dad has a Jet 1 hp model and this unit has much better suction and is considerably quieter. My only concern is that while it is mounted on a roller base there is no handle for moving it around. You're inclined to grab the dust canister but the supports for it are just adequate for holding the canister in place but flex easily if you try to move unit that way. All in all a good buy - much cheaper than other comparable units.

This dust collector is one of the best investments I've made for myself and my shop. The noise is very minimal and tame for the huge suction it has! I love it and wouldn't want to be without it's help! I only wish I would have bought it years ago...!

This dust collector is one of the largest CFM 110V canister for under $400 that collects down to 1 micron particles and doesn't take up much space. It's an amazing clean up tool that allows my saws to run cleaner giving them more accuracy, longer life, and gives me MUCH cleaner air to breath. It's quieter than I expected because of the high quality of the fan. It has a slow startup motor & fan that never rattles or whines. Its like comparing a generic Hoover to this Dyson.
