Nice machine, good price, but that's all...After researching many brands and comparing spec's versus price, I found this model the best for the money. In practice, it has performed very well. I have one of the 4" ports connected full-time through a blast gate to my miter saw area. The other end is connected to a 12' hose (4" diameter) that I plug in as needed to the table saw (Sawstop Professional), 6" jointer, 16" bandsaw, 12" planer, or as a stand-alone when sanding or for shop cleanup. There has been plenty of power for every operation. My greatest disappointment though was when I first received the unit. The box had been dropped or impacted and the base was bent. While the damage was fairly minor, the kink in the metal caused the paint to begin chipping off. This means there was not good adhesion of the paint and I expect any scratches would cause the same problem. In addition, the styrofoam packing was all broken apart and the hardware bags were all ripped open. Yes - ALL of the nuts and bolts were loose in the box. Once I got that mess straightened out and started the assembly, I discovered the second significant shortcoming. The instruction manual is essentially useless. It is so bad that I would doubt that anyone who works there has ever tried to read it and use it to assemble the product. Thankfully, anyone with minor mechanical ability can figure it out by looking at the picture on the website. Ultimately, I needed/wanted to use the unit right away and since it did a good job at what is was supposed to do, I did not call the company to try and return the unit. A dented machine that worked well and was bought for a reasonable price was much better than what I had before... nothing :)

No dust bunnies in my shop! This is my first dust collector, but I'm not the least bit disappointed in its' performance. Very little escapes this baby. At the present time I just move the collection hose from one machine to the next as needed, but I plan to install ductwork and gates in the future. I have no doubt that this machine will perform just as well in that scenario. My only complaint was the assembly instructions. They quite often lack clarity and say nothing about installing the motor support. I ended up having to squeeze it in under the motor after having already bolted the motor assembly to the base. Beyond that, I am most pleased with this purchase.

Dust CollectorMy wife and I made a trip from Indiana to Philadelphia to pick up this dust collector and accessories. Everyone at PSI was very helpful and we had a great trip. Setup was very simple and I have ducted the system to my radial arm saw, band saw, and lathe. The collector fits very nicely under the stairwell in my basement. The system is fantastic. Very quite as opposed to my previous shop vac and no more dust settling on everything in the shop. My only warning is to be careful what you get near the intake. I carelessly left the cap, about 3 1/2" plastic, from my EEE polish laying on top of the lathe and before I could grab it it was sucked into my big gulp collector, through 15 feet of ducting and was whirling around in the collection bag. It took about 2 seconds for all this to occur. I think some kind of chicken wire screen over the intake may be appropriate.

Good productI am quite satisfied with this collector. It is connected to my sub par ductwork. Even so, very little sawdust escapes. I expect it will do even better when I get the ductwork upgraded. It was easy to assemble. The instructions needed a little study but were quite adequate for the task.
