Excellent additional capabilities

This is a very good addition to my jumbo jaws, allowing me to handle bigger bowls than ever before. It appears to be well made and heavy duty enough to hold up over time. Well worth the price and I'm very pleased.

Tuff Stuff

I bought these jaws to turn bigger things on my Turncrafter Pro VS using the PSI 4 jaw chuck. These jaws are too big for this lathe right out of the box and must be cut down, which I did with my band saw. The jaws are made out of some sort of industrial grade plastic-like material that is as tuff as steel. It litterally rounded the teeth on my bandsaw blade. Then I mounted them on the lathe to make them perfectly round and instantly they dulled the edge of my 1/2" scraper. Having said all that, the jaws work fine within the limited scope, from about 8" dia to 9.5". I'm satisfied with them but I believe there is a better way.

INCREASE ABILITY

I have been waiting for someone to develop and market this idea. I can now turn the bottom side of a bowl or platter greater than 9.5 inches. The only downside is the predrilled holes. I use this set on a Nova Cole Jaw Set, so only the top two holes line up. Not a problem though. these two screws provide plenty of strength. Four screws is overkill. I am very pleased.
