Tired of your bowl gouge slipping on your tool rest and jamming when hollowing? Problem solved. This new tool rest features a vertical pin on top to give you improved control, better contact and a more consistent cut . Just position your gauge against the pin and you'll experience better control and more confidence when hollowing. The toolrest is 1" diameter, 9" long. Pivot pi is 1-1/4" long and can be pinned in two different positions along the toolrest.

This tool is a must for any serious bowl turner. The rest works wonders for coring bowls. The gauge stays steady and cleaning, smoothing out, the core of the bowl is both an arm saver and time saver.

I tried the pinned toolrest because of arthritis and Carpal Tunnel problems with my hands and wrists. It has really reduced the pain and fatigue, and allowed me to turn much longer, and with far greater control. We all know that if you gain you lose. The cost is more frequent of the toolrest, but that is a small price to pay for being able to turn well again.
