Here's the perfect solution for mounting your bottle stopper blank onto your PSI Bottle Stopper Chuck. With this system you just drill a blank then tap the thread that will mount your blank securely onto the chuck. Get a better grip with no more hand threading or spinning blanks! The set includes a 5/16" drill bit, a ratcheting reversible handle, and a centering tap to thread a 3/8" thread into your blank. Works great on wood, acrylic or any other machineable material.

Great concept and very helpful with getting a good fit on the stoppers. A must have for quick turning of bottle tops. Only problem is that the tapping bit doesn't center well into the rachet, thus causes an issue with wobbling. Easy to fix with a pair of pliers tightening the rachet bolt. Haven't tried to loosen it yet though.

The tap tool is an inferior product. The ratchet mechanism on the handle would skip the ratchet action no matter which position the selector switch was in. The tap should have been a bottoming tap instead of the tapered tap. You have to drill the hole too deep into the blank in order to get the stopper to properly seat. Be aware that you must pay shipping both ways if you want to return the product.

Good product! Being able to drill, then tap the correct size threads to mount a blank on the threaded bottle stopper turning chuck provides a very secure mount for turning. Beats having the blank strip out and slip part way thru turning. Also I needed a new tap handle and this one will adjust to hold multiple sizes. Good deal.
