This is a known item for me, I live in the Cahors wine region of France. So I use old vine roots for the handles and all of the wine buffs and vineyard owners love them. Don't make the handles longer than the supplied tubes, the leverage will break them on stubborn corks. They make good presents as well ;-)

Best Product Available

I am in the wine business and was looking for a related project. I took 25 to a tasting and sold out in about five minutes. The quality and weight are excellent. I only turn acrylics so have no problem with cracking. Reading the negative comments on other reviews, it may be in your presentation. I sell them as a bottle stopper with an emergency corkscrew. Although somewhat impracticle this is the only product I sell and have had no complaints. The only negative I have is that I also wish they came in more than one finish.

This is a great kit. Ordered it for my daughter to make for her nephew. Easy set up. Pretty simple. And a great end product. Was very happy with this kit.
