This filter bag was recommended because of the high volume of sanding I was doing with a 25" sander. The canister filter system that came with the cyclone would get clogged up often from the very small particles so Penn State recommended me to try the bag. After a long session of sanding all I had to do was "slap" the sides of the bag to clean it and it was ready to use again. Over a year has gone by and I noticed some loss of suction so I decided to wash it with a hose to clean it very good and now it works just like new again. It did take a few days to dry hanging in the sun but it was worth cleaning it instead of buying a new one. Overall it is much easier to maintain than the canister system and of course if you have to buy new canisters that will cost you much more than the bag filter. Thanks, Tommy Coates
