turning the Aquapearl Jet Blank

I used a very sharp skew, and it made a quality pen for my Pastor. I don't use a gouge or any other tool on the round blanks, except for the parting tool to cut the tenon on the design pen. I am new at pen turning, I have turned about 55 pens, and I love it.

I used sharp tools and the blank turned out poorly. Attempts to fix the blemishes resulted in the blank shattering. Thankfully I had a face shield. I will stay away from acrylics from now on.

Turned very nice. Made into pen for my grandson. He loved it.
