This squaring jig is fantastic. Works easily with the only disadvantage being that you have to stop to look at how far you have sanded too frequently so that you don't go to far. Other than that, no complaints. Use it every day. ewb

This device was difficult to get exactly perpendicular to the sanding surface. You have to be certain that your sanding base is level and perpendicular. You also have to be certain that the rod is perpendicular. Too many chances to be wrong.
This is another great must have for any shop. It is easy to set up and use. A real time saver, and also a must for the stars and stripes pen kits.

This jig works ok but would be much better if it had a selection of mandrels of standard sizes (7mm, 10mm etc) that would make the blank more stable while sanding.

rod is to big for 7 mm tube

This is an absolute must for making quality pens. Easy to use, quality made jig.

This item works great for squaring pens.
Very easy to use. The holder rod for pen blank was little too long. Just cut off about 3/4 ".

Simplifies a crucial part of the pen turning process and eliminates any guess work involved. Great little piece of "must have" equipment for the pen maker and very affordable.
I use this tool all the time. Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
not very useful as it only works on predrilled 7mm before the insert brass tube is installed

Works well, better that than a cutter head on a barrel trimmer.
I find cutting spacers to side over the shaft inside the tube eliminates the slop with larger tubes giving greater control.

I use this for blanks that are either too hard to trim using the Blank Trimmer or are punky (i.e. spalted ). Does a great job, exactly as advertised.

This clever little jig makes squaring pen blanks easy...I use it with a 6" disc sander and it works great.

This is a cool tool. I would use it only with the round sander as shown. I have the combo Belt/Disc sanding station and the belt side will have a tendency to taper the ends, thus the assembled pen will bind at the band.
