This squaring jig is fantastic. Works easily with the only disadvantage being that you have to stop to look at how far you have sanded too frequently so that you don't go to far. Other than that, no complaints. Use it every day. ewb

This device was difficult to get exactly perpendicular to the sanding surface. You have to be certain that your sanding base is level and perpendicular. You also have to be certain that the rod is perpendicular. Too many chances to be wrong.

Works well, better that than a cutter head on a barrel trimmer. I find cutting spacers to side over the shaft inside the tube eliminates the slop with larger tubes giving greater control.

This is a cool tool. I would use it only with the round sander as shown. I have the combo Belt/Disc sanding station and the belt side will have a tendency to taper the ends, thus the assembled pen will bind at the band.
