Arrived in good condition, good fit in the hand and nice finish. Great set for a beginner, all the tools needed to start turning. Two improvements could be made, if the skews were oval and the parting tool diamond shaped. Other than that very happy with the purchase, very good value! I will buy from PSI again.

Only real complaint I have is that within a few days of receiving my set, I received an ad from Amazon, offering the exact same set for $10 less, plus free shipping. Disappointment:(

I run the wood shop at a military arts and crafts center and we have just gotten a wood turning program up and running and were able to buy two of these sets. I was skeptical of the quality at only $70, but was pleasantly surprised when I started to use them. I just had to touch the grinds up and get them sharp and I was turning. They hold an edge really well and are easy to control. I would go so far as to say they perform as well as any Sorby, Crown or Pinnacle tool that I've worked with. I would definitely recommend these tools to a friend.

As a beginner turner (less than three months) I was looking for an inexpensive, yet decent set of chisels. Having been spoiled with a high-end borrowed quality set, the Benjamin Best chisel set took a little getting used to. Still, the steel holds a sharp edge- just keep a diamond horning tool nearby- and is comfortable in the hand- even though the handles are short. An experienced turner confirmed this set is a "good deal." I would buy this chisel set again.

I bought this set of chisels a few months ago and have worked them hard. I looked at chisels that were 3 or 4 times the price and find it hard to believe that they would perform any better the the PSI set. They have large wooden handles which fit the hand very well and long blades which are handy for getting into deep bowls, etc. Great job PSI!!!

A great set of chisels for the beginner especially the price. This is my first set and I've been extremely happy with them. They're inexpensive as far as chisel sets go, stay sharp longer than expected, have a good feel and are easy to sharpen. A big plus was the range of chisels in the set. Right from the start I had all of the chisels I would need for just about any project. I highly recommend this set to start turning with!

I just started wood turning and got these as my first set of tools. I must say I'm very impressed! They stay nice and sharp and have an excellent feel to them. The storage box they come in is nice, but the wood is a little thin on the top and bottom.
