I am not writing this review to be featured on anything. Just wanted to let you know I appreciate the quality and service you provided. Actually thought I would give making pens a try. So far the only thing I have attempted is a baseball bat. I am not a lathe guy so it's lots of fun just experimenting, hopefully, I will eventually make an attempt at pens.
Thanks for great pproduct

I received the machine damaged, called and a new one was shipped immediately, received it in perfect condition. took less than 15min to set everything up, turned the machine on and was extremely pleased with how smooth running it was. EXCELLENT machine for the price.

This is my first lathe and it is wonderful. Nice small size doesn't take up alot of room. People at first don't believe I make the pens I hand them to use.

Overall I like the lathe. Great for a beginner or someone who is only going to turn small stuff. The packaging was destroyed by the shipper but not a scratch on the lathe. When I called Penn State to inform them, I was greeted by a pleasant person and was told "If there is a problem we will ship out a new one" immediately. Great customer service.
Variable speed is well worth it. Don't have to change belts every time you change material. My kids have turned several pens and pencils. Big test will be something larger like baseball bats. As of now, no complaints. Great Lathe!

Nice power with the convenience of variable speed. The extension bed matched up fine on mine. The lathe is heavy enough so it doesn

I have enjoyed this tool from day one. Only problem is I can't control myself from running & buying more pen kits and lathe accessories. I have really enjoyed exploring woodturning. I would recommend looking at getting the self centering vise, and a chuck to go along with the lathe. After I watched a live demo and viewed a few videos I had to have a chuck. It makes the lathe so very versitile.

I'm new to the pen making hobby, but I know quality and convenience when I see it.The ability to change speeds without changing belt positions is priceless.I know that I am not the sole owner of this or any other products this company sells so why am I not finding reviews on ANY ITEMS? Surely not everyone is too busy to write.
