Though I had to make a plywood cutout to have this fit the base of my saw (Delta contractor), you certainly can't argue with the price. This product made any idea of doing it myself seem absurd. Works very well. Now, if only he provided a similar product for the back of the saw I would be all set!

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the sheet metal is somewhat flimsy. Otherwise I had it installed an operational with my saw and DC in about 15 minutes.

The collector fits my Craftsman contractors saw fine. Only criticism is that the gauge of steel is a little light. Would be better if heavier steel had been used on the discharge connection.

4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 decent hood, better than plastic ones, 6.23.2009
Reviewer: Chris K (, VA)

This hood works pretty well, but I had a hard time getting it to mate up with my dust collector. It is definitely an upgrade from the plastic ones everyone offers, although the 12x12 size is too small for my Powermatic. One thing I wish it had was a 6" connection. With all the research I've done, 6" seems to be the standard in order to collect all the fine dust. I will have to modify mine to meet my 6" drop.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Nice part, 6.11.2009

I closed in the bottom and sides of my Rigid table saw (ts3650) with some plywood and added this sheet metal dust collector duct to the bottom of it. I closed in the back of the saw around the motor with 2 pieces of cardboard and some strip magnets purchased from a hobby store. It’s like having a new table saw! Excellent part.

This thing is perfect. It fits like a glove and works like you wouldn't believe. A lot of thought was put into this. Absolutely the best on the market.
