These tubes are ideal for creating modified versions of the 7mm pen kits. I use a lot of them to make projects that require tubes that are longer than the ones that come with the kits.

I find myself doing more laminating and it is very nice to cut the tubes to the length I want rather than having unsupported wood in my pens. One thing I still want to try is attaching a small bit of tube at the end of the process if I do end up with unsupported pen blank - like the unplanned laminating that happens when a burl breaks out... the sawdust and CA solution hasn't worked well for me yet, so I've been cutting away the split and laminating on a new piece of material. Ends up making some mighty fancy looking pens too!

Thes tubes are perfect for customizing your slimline pen kits. Simply use the standard 2" tube for the point and mechanism then make the "cap end as long as you like. Pens can be fitted with the metal ring in the middle or without - as your custom creation warrants. You end up with extra 2" tubes but those can be used for mistakes or breakage.

These brass tubes are of good quality and easy to cut to length. Custom pens often need to be cut to different sizes. With the 10" tube you cut what ever size you need. Or just cut them to standard length and save you self a little money..

This is a simple product but it enables so much! I use these tubes to create speciality pens and pencils that I can't create without them. I like to keep several on hand so that I can create what I want without having to stop and look for jsut the right length of tube.
