This was the first high quality pen kit I have assembled. I would highly recommend it for all intermediate and advanced turners. The finished product came out beautifully. I liked everything about the kit except using the 37/64 drill bit. It wobbled alot with the harder blank. A forstner bit might be better instead of the one included in the starter package.

Great product. Good quality and easy to put together. I think that in the picture of the item the barrel trimmer should be removed, it leads to confusion.

This starter kit provides the drill bits and bushings you need to turn the Majestic pens. The pens themselves are very nice, have good weight distribution, and write very smoothly. Nice pen to have in my inventory, will turn more of these.

Great looking hardware, very detailed work. Don't underestimated the size of the blank you need to make this pen, it says 7/8" minimum, but I would go at least an inch!

Majestic Pen Starter Kit, 8.2.2009

I've been turning pens for about two years and was thinking about trying a Majestc kit. The kits are a little on the high end of what I do as hobbyist, but the offer of the tooling as a free incentive finally twisted my arm. The kit is of high quality and I like the black titanium trim on the rhodium finish.The pen is quite large and definitely makes a statement. Though I only test wrote briefly to try the rollerball, it writes very smoothly and feels great in my hand. My experience with the Majestic stater kit prompted me to order the same kit for the Majestic Jr. I think the small pen but still with the same features may be more suitable to those who prefer a slimmer pen. Great job PSI and thanks for the incentive to try these kits. The strter pen kit won't be my last Majestic.

Majestic kit with drill bits and bushings, 7.14.2009

This was my first Majestic kit and it was nice to get the drill bits and the bushings along with it. My only complaint is that the largest drill bit was too big for my drill press. It is larger than 1/2" and was not milled down to fit in a normal 1/2" drill chuck. It worked with the larger chuck I use with my lathe though.

It was wonderful to have the bushings and drill bits included with this kit, and it made completing this kit all the more easier. I was also impressed with the quality of the kit, being the first high end pen kit that I have done. Now that I have everything that I need, I will definitely order this kit again. My recommendation is saving that special blank for a kit such as this, it will enhance the look and quality of your project.

WOW!, thats really all there is to say about this pen, WOW! Ease of turning, all horizonal cuts, no fancy chisel work, unless you want to. Super looking pen when finished. Couple this pen with the RoseWood case and you have a high end heirloom quality gift with no second thought. Many, many compliments on this pen, super!
