I'm very happy with the quality and performance of this Universal Pen Mandrel. I found it very easy to install on my Jet lathe. The fit is perfect and turns evenly allowing wood blanks to be cut symmetrically. The mandrel stays tight during the entire job of cutting, sanding and polishing the blank. A must have tool for turning pens, key-rings and letter openers.

I have several other mandrels. This one is by far my favorite. It is perfectly centered every time you mount it on the lathe, unlike using a Taper Mounted Mandrel, that you may have to re-seat to get it just right. The included 7mm drill bit is a nice bonus as well.

Ordered this mandrel since PSI was out of stock on the adjustable mandrel. All you need is some extra bushings, and you can hold stock of a smaller size
