Well, for the cost I would say it's worth it. However, it can get misshapen from pounding on it with the hammer. So I use the same end of the rod all the time so I won't mess up both ends. Also, once I had a piece get stuck in the twist mechanism receiver and not thinking, I pounded on the receiver to loosen it. Then I had a terrible time getting it back in shape so the rod would slide properly again. But, all in all, it's a very helpful tool. Just remember to work over a little container of some kind to catch the parts as they fly off.

the only problem I see with the disassembler is that it gets burrs on it after striking it with a hammer. Otherwise it works great

I had a few pens that I needed to disasemble for one reason or another. I've found that it was well worth the money. This tool is not only the cheapest I've found, it worked great. Only wish they sold it in 8mm and 10mm models.
