How can you beat getting all of these punches in their own little container for such a low price as compared to the prices of all the individual punches they sell for knocking your pen apart? Simply a great bargain. One problem I had, though. I was taking a pen apart and a particular punch I was using broke as I was striking it. Only about 3/8" broke off of one end. I suppose it was just a bad place in the metal and I just took it over to the grinder and squared off the end again. I'll let it go at that. If any more break, however, they all go back.

Originally bought the set for two reasons... One, I needed to disassemble and refinish a kit and two the number of punches means I could use it on just about any pen kit or any other application where I needed a pin punch. In the short time I have had it, the punch set has more than paid for itself. I have used it on about 5 pens and drive out pins in a brace I restored. One word of caution, select the punch size well. It is easy to smash up the ends of the soft metal and plastics used in some kits.

The product itself is great! not only do I use it as a disassembly kit, I also use the rods laying on their sides as shims when I need small increments for spacers! but, the price of $20 offered prior to reception of the product(waiting list price) was lowered to $16.95 just a few weeks after I received mine.
