This kit is especially great for using with woods for a great contrast - either with light colored woods, woods with natural spalding (Spalted Maple or others), and helps call attention to features of the grain or characteristics in the wood.

I love the black enamel with light colored woods. However, I have used a black enamel pen for two months and the enamel is wearing off on the tip, the ball of the clip, and on the center ridge of the metal sleeve in the center of the pen.
