These kits are very nice and pleasing to the eye. But after having one in my shirt pocket I noticed that the plating on the push button was worn off only after a few days. Maybe you can work on this.

This is a very simple but versatile design. When made with different types of wood, it becomes stunning. It is easy to hold and glides smoothly. It is a very rich looking pencil and matches the pen to make a beautiful set.

This was my first time making a pencil and once I got the placement of the mechanism right in the turned blank I have been very happy with the pencil. I'll definitely be making some more pencils.

I have enjoyed making pens for gifts and have been very satisfied with your kits. They are very easy to make and assemble and give you a chance to express yourself in the design. Thank you for putting the instruction in the packs with the pens. Thank you

Sure, the Slimline Pencil is a cinch to turn and finish. But, more importantly to me, the design and construction are superior to other "Slimline" kits I have tried. The smooth working pencil mechanism is practically idiot proof. This results in fewer returns to me.

I started turning pens around 1995, starting with Slimline pens and pencils. I still turn Slimline pens but I do not do pencils. My problem with the pencils is after putting all the work into turning them, they do not work, or they work only for a short while. The last pencil I made worked until it ran out of lead, then I could not figure how to refill it. Try the pencils, but don't be disappointed if/when they don't work.
