The mandrel works well, But the drill bit is too big if you use the bit that comes with the kit then the hole is to big to thread on to the mandrel. I had to glue the stopper in to the turning.

This kit could be improved with a thread tapping tool, to help when hardwoods are used.

The 3/4" Mandrel/Chuck allowed me to quickly adjust to a lathe that would not accept my 1" chuck. This piece of equipment is great to have in the drawer.
