Nice looking bottle stopper for a gift.
Easy to make and use small blocks of spare wood of your choice. I made a special chuck for this.

These stoppers work great. You just twist it until it fits a little snug, then once it's in the bottle you give it another twist and there you go.

Many people by now realize that this bottle stopper is a hit. Getting the stopper kit was the second best thing I ever ordered. The special mandrel, and drill bit, allow me to screw on my wood blanks easily. The only problem is that the bottle stopper screw is too large for this tapped hole, and we have to enlarge it.

This kit was easy to make and seals very well for bottles that lay on their sides when opened. I like that it has stainless steel for it's metal parts and the threaded parts fit well. The silicon seals compressed tightly and smoothly. Another plus with me was the low profile of the overall stopper. All this at an affordable price.

I found this to be an amazing bottle stopper, they sell very fast. The perfect seal seams to be a great marketing tool. I found it was best to use the PSI bottle stopper mandrel as a tap, by putting some beeswax onto the threads then threading it in and out a number of times. Then to make the assembly easy I went to the hardware store with the metal parts of the stopper and found a SS machine bolt that fit right into where the neoprene rings and the ling bolt go. Thread that bolt in the you can use a wrench to just thread the stopper into the wood or what ever material you use.
The only thing I didn't like was I found out if your hands are dirty the white silicone and neoprene picks up dirt or whatever really easy.

It's an okay bottle stopper. I prefer it over the other models. I found it a bit pricy in comparison to other kits though.

It works well and is easy to assemble onto the wood. Displaying this stopper is not as dramatic as the chrome ones, but nevertheless it's a practical and functional stopper.

This stopper is perfect for bottles with unusual size and shape openings. I have some antique glass bottles with a small diameter at the opening, but then the neck widens a bit. Other style stoppers have trouble with that.

Kit is of great quality like the other bottle stoppers that Penn State sells.
Instructions are straight forward for a person that has done bottle stoppers before. Good news is the thread is the same as the Vintage Bottle Stopper, so the Mandrel from Penn State works great.
Only tip would be to take the bottle stopper mechanism apart, and buy a screw that you can thread into the center. and wrench the top piece of the bottle stopper into the wood, with a little was... This is a very solid fit if you used the tap to cut threads for the bottle stopper... Remove and re-asseble bottle stopper.
I have given one bottle stopper as a give, and they love it. Works great when laying bottle down on its side.
This one is the best one yet. Nothing but favorable comments from people I have made them for. Keep it available.
This is a great idea which is why I bought 25! Once threaded/glued onto the turned stopper it is a bit fussy to get to close tightly. However, it does provide a leak-proof seal so you can store the wine on its side in the fridge. An improvement in design would be to add a slot in the upper half of the mechanism so you could use a screwdriver to get it completely into the wood. I had a challenge on hardwoods as there is virtually nothing to grab on to and pliers will leave marks.
My customers love the idea of having confidence in a reliable seal with this bottle stopper.
This little jewel really works! I have tried it on several sizes of openings in wine bottle necks....it fits them all, and will not leak. If you are into bottle stoppers, as I am, DO NOT waste your time with other types and styles! These simply do the job! I strongly recommend that you also use the Bottle Stopper 'chuck' to turn the wooden part, because it's base is a good size to fit the stopper base and the bottle top.
