Air Cleaner for small shop, 10.6.2009

The bad: a little damage to one corner due to shipping (fixed in the shop - used to that) The Good: Quiet!! Up front controls with no problem getting it to do just what I got it for. Noticed at once, during sanding, the air stayed clean. Did I say quiet, lets me listen to my radio as I work away. Not as heavy as I first thought it would be and presented no problem hanging it from the ceiling.

I bought this unit as I have a Penn Dust collector for my machinery that I have run for hours and hours over the last ten years. This unit was easy to set up and install and appears to have the same quality as my earlier unit. I like the remote that is covered to protect it from dust. I have not used it long enough to have to clean yet but that process looks very simple. Most of all I enjoy knowing that it's there doing its bit to protect my lungs and reduce the build up around the shop. However, I think it's important to point out that I still wear a face mask when some operations put fine dust in the air. If it's like my other dust collector I know this unit will be good value for money.

I am relly amazed as to how well and fast this unit works. I was cutting dados on my table saw a couple of days before I ordered this unit. There was so much dust in the air that I could hardly see. Yesterday I installed the air cleaner then cut more dados. I could hardly tell that there was any dust in the air. I bought this unit at the insistance of my wife. She kept telling me that breathing the wood dust could not be healthy. I am glad that she kept insisting. Every shop should have one of these.

I bought this model air cleaner a few years ago (three or four?). It's performed perfectly. Mine makes no shrill noises and is very quiet! I have a small shop, so if it were annoyingly loud, I'd know it! I highly recommend it!! It does a great job of cleaning the air!!
